Glass skates versus tiger ice on logitech g pro wireless x superlight

Main Post:

ive been informing myself a lot about mouseskates and came to the decision to get some tiger ice feet, and after searching for the best seller that doesnt take months and hundreds of euros to ship to germany i came across something i totally forgot about, glass skates

i feel like they are really unpopular, but the people that use them are loving them?! are they actually good, should i use them? so you know about me, i was using a steelseries sensei ten untill yesterday and got my logitech g pro x superlight today and wanted to get some nice mousefeet for them, but i got no clue whats good for mei will play valorant mostly, but am not good at the game yet and fairly new so i really dont know anything about anything, maybe you can help me out and give me recommendations on wether i should use glass skates or tiger ice skates (ptfe skates) or maybe something completly different (ceramic?), what are pros using?

Top Comment: Tried superglides, tiger ice, tiger arc 1, tiger arc 2. I prefer Arc 1 > Ice > Arc 2 > superglides Arc 1 feels smooth and ez to hit flicks, tracking and holding angles. Ice and Arc 2 feel somewhat scratchy, its annoying. Superglides feel smooth but weird when swiping, there is much dynamic friction. Hard to hit flickshots. Hard to track. Feels overall bad. I mainly play valorant (immortal 3) What are pros using? Most pros are using stock feet. S1mple - Stock xset Cryo - Stock TSM Wardell - Tiger arc 1 Optic yay - Tiger Ice Asked them in twitch chat If I were you I would just keep the stock feet unless you want the absolute best then go for Tiger Arc 1, they are very well balanced and its a nice bonus u get 2 sets of mouse skates

X870E aorus pro ice

Main Post:

So i am looking to get the X870E aorus pro ice, i am going to use a ryzen 9800x3d with 2 m.2 slots will i be able to run the gpu at full bandwidth or will the lanes get shared ?

Top Comment: The board has 4x M.2 slots. If you populate only M2A_CPU and M2D_SB, your GPU will not be affected. If you put anything in either M2B_CPU or M2C_CPU, your GPU will run at x8. Also note that the M2D_SB slot is connected to the chipset, so it shares bandwidth with everything else on the chipset, which could lead to reduced NVMe performance compared to using one of the CPU connected slots. But this is your only option if you want to maintain x16 for the GPU. Edit: don't listen to the troglodytes below who are downvoting and chiming in with the shit about "but it's PCIe gen 5 x8, which is the same as PCIe gen4 x16," since unless you're using a PCIe gen5 GPU, which at the time of this post doesn't exist (aside from that one junky Chinese one from last year), will not help a gen4 GPU. A gen4 GPU will still run at gen4 x8, it doesn't magically upgrade its PHY to PCIe gen5 just so it can use x8 more efficiently. Crayon eaters...

ASUS ROG STRIX X870-A GAMING WIFI or Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO ICE

Main Post:

all in the title !!! need help what i conclude is asus got 2 sata III the gigabyte got 4 sata III both share pci lanes for nvme ....

Any white card am5 don't share pci lanes ? :X

Top Comment: Most of the X870 at least any of the white ones share lanes so if you use like more than 2 M.2s, your PCIE x 16 slot drops to x8. Any white card am5 don't share pci lanes ? :X B650 Steel Legend WiFi despite not having an E next to it, actually has PCIE 5.0 on both the top x16 slot and one of the M.2 slots. X870E Aorus PRO ICE bios bug in F3f

Main Post:

I submitted this bug to eSupport on Gigabyte but thought I should post about it incase anyone else experiences this. My system is as follows:

  • X870E AORUS PRO ICE BIOS: F3f
  • Asus TUF RTX 4070 TI
  • CPU 9800x3d
  • Windows 11 24h2
  • 1TB Crucial T705 in M2A_CPU (boot drive)
  • 2TB Samsung 970 EVO in M2B_CPU
  • 2TB Samsung 970 EVO in M2C_CPU

When the two 970 drives are partitioned into a stripped volume in windows. You can no longer access bios. Will hang on load screen indefinitely when you press either DEL for bios or END for q-flash. Code displayed is D2, red boot light glowing.

When setting up the PC there were no issues when the 970 drives were formatted as normal drives. After windows install, the partitions were deleted and recreated. Then setup as a stripped volume.

The system will still boot into windows normally, no issues. But if you press either DEL or END to enter bios/q-flash it will hang indefinitely.

Removal of the 2 NVME drives will fix the problem and allow you to get into bios. Seems like bios is hanging when attempting to recognize/read the drives.

Additionally, sometimes when restarting the computer via just windows restart. System will shutdown and then start booting and hang before showing bios gif. Hitting physical reset will reboot the system then it will boot into windows normally. Could also be the bios trying to read the drives on a soft reset.

BIOS settings are stock, only setting changed is enabling EXPO for ram. Was still setting up the new PC, took me HOURS to figure out the two drives were causing this.

Top Comment: Same thing happened to me but with sata drives in raid 0. I had to remove the raid to get back into the bios. Pretty annoying.

Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice Review

Main Post: Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice Review

Top Comment: I’m not sure I follow this review’s “pro” of 3 PCIe gen 5 NVME as if it’s unique. Two are shared off the primary x16 GPU slot, identical to the much less expensive X870 offering. The rest of the pros are the same in that series too. I feel like Gigabyte and other manufacturers missed the boat on implementing the X870E spec according to AMD’s little chart of features which seemed to suggest there would be additional CPU PCIe lanes exposed rather than having to go through one of the two bridges. I think I’ve found 2 where that was a true feature and the price was eye-watering.

X870E Aorus Pro Ice Bios Update

Main Post:

Hey, Laptop gamer moving to my first build so apologies for the noob question.

On the support page of the motherboard, there are 5 bios updates listed, F1 > F3i.

Do I need to download and install each one in turn, or will F3i cover all preceding updates as well?

Thanks for any help on this.

Top Comment: Just grab the latest one, F3i if that is the case.
